There's a small program called Vovsoft Tree Notes that can be a lifesaver when I have more ideas than free browser tabs. I throw material into a tree view, create nested nodes, and instantly jump between sections. The editor offers bold italics, underlining, bullets, and font changes, so notes and logs look neat. The entire archive is stored in a single file; a copy on a flash drive travels with me, and a direct link to download the free program is available on our website. I like that the database is offline, the search is fast, and branches collapse like directories, eliminating eye strain. A mobile client and collaborative editing are missing, plus the startup is a bit slower for large files, but it's tolerable. However, these are all wishes you could make if the installation file were large, but otherwise, it's a piece of cake and quite sufficient. The appearance is certainly very dull, and the interface looks so-so, but if you value features over bells and whistles, it doesn't matter. Unfortunately, I don't see Russian support, but maybe it will be added in the future. The settings are minimal, and there's not much to add about the software.
I tested it for an hour, and the hotkeys worked perfectly. I can say the software is convenient because it saves time.
