## Officially Translated Light Novels v25.00 24.03: Hello, everyone. Due to various issues, this release took longer than expected, and I apologize for that. I made significant changes in an effort to make automating the releases a bit easier, so it warranted a full release. I meticulously went through every single file in the collection, and identified many issues that went unnoticed for years -- including J-Novel Club watermarks embedded into JPEGs, corrupted or broken EPUBs, faratnis uploads contaminating the collection with Jnovels ads, and so on. Also standardized file names into: `Title - Vol XX [Publisher][Platform][Uploader][CRC32]`. The ZIP files have been converted to CBZ files, and some redundant PDFs have also been removed. All in all, around a thousand or more files were fixed or otherwise changed, so I couldn't release a patch to 24.00 and give you guys a script to rename your files. Based on my current audit, the collection is now mostly complete, with the exception of these LNs: - `Karin - Chibi Vampire` -- Volumes 02-06 - `Naruto Shinden (2018)` -- Volume 01 - `RahXephon` -- Volume 01 - `The New Kindaichi Files` -- Volume 01 - `Seraph of the End: Guren Ichinose: Catastrophe at Sixteen` -- Volumes 03-04 These appear to be LNs that were never digitally published, so we'd need someone to buy physical copies and manually scan them. --- To elaborate on the J-Novel Club JPEG watermarks, it appears that JNC embeds the user-specific BookCopy token into every insert image, placed as the final 12 bytes in a JPEG. Around 46% of the JNC books in the collection were affected by this, so I had to fix them all. I made a little tool to strip JNC watermarks (it also cleans up Kobo watermarks, and Jnovels.com ads), if any of you want to use it. The tool does everything client-side, so nothing is uploaded to a server and everything remains fully offline.
